Pay It Forward

For over the past decade, we've offered a pay-it-forward option in our cafe to help provide for those struggling financially. Sometimes referred to as “serial reciprocity,” the practice plays off the concept of repaying a kindness to others rather than paying it back to the original benefactor. To quote Lily Hardy Hammond from In the Garden of Delight, “You don't pay love back; you pay it forward."

In this specific context, you would be purchasing a 16 oz drip coffee and/or biscuits & gravy in advance for someone else to receive who would otherwise be unable to purchase themselves. If you would like to contribute, please let our cafe staff know during checkout.
